The Shootouts celebrate more than a decade of music with Long Play Weekend, a two-night hometown event featuring full-band performances of all four of their albums, played live and in their entirety at Akron Civic Theatre’s Knight Stage.
Each evening features two complete albums, giving fans a rare chance to hear deep cuts and favorites spanning the Akron-based band’s entire recording career.
Formed in Akron in 2015, The Shootouts blend honky-tonk grit with classic Americana storytelling. Rolling Stone called their sound “perfect rustbelt country.” The band has earned three Top 10 Americana albums, made 15 appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, and performed at the Ryman Auditorium during the Opry’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
